Dentist near Greece dons precautionary PPE in COVID-19Whether you chipped a tooth while anxiously biting your fingernails or developed a cavity from snacking at home, there are plenty of reasons why you may be looking for a “dentist near me” as quarantine orders begin to lift. However, with the threat of COVID-19 still present, safety is everyone’s top priority. To ensure that it’s safe for you to receive the dental care you need, your dentist near Greece has established a wide variety of new safety protocols and extra precautions. Read on to learn more about some of the steps they’re taking to ensure you stay healthy while visiting them during the coronavirus pandemic.

Your Dental Team Is Trained & Prepared

Preventing the spread of COVID-19 in a dental practice is no simple task. Every team member has completed additional training to ensure they are prepared and able to provide the safest care possible. Additionally, they are expected to:

  • Complete a daily health questionnaire and no-touch temperature check.
  • Practice excellent hand hygiene and refrain from wearing watches, rings, or artificial nails.
  • Change into and out of their clean scrubs inside the office to prevent cross-contamination.

Modified Scheduling & Appointments

You’ll notice some of the new COVID-19 safety precautions at Vollo Dental Group as soon as you call to schedule your visit. Your friendly dental team is offering:

  • Family appointments, where up to six family members can be seen during the same visit.
  • Expanded appointments, so more work can be completed at once.
  • Sequenced appointments, which allow more time for cleaning and physical space for coming and going between patients.

Patients Are Asked to Follow Extra Precautions

Everyone needs to do their part to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Every patient will be asked to:

  • Throw out their gloves before entering the practice.
  • Complete a health questionnaire and no-touch temperature check.
  • Sanitize their hands and rinse with an antimicrobial mouthwash before their appointment begins.

Changes to the Inside of the Practice

Several important changes have been made to the inside of the practice as well. During your appointment, you may notice:

  • Magazines, toys, and several chairs have been removed from the reception area to encourage social distancing and limit frequently touched surfaces.
  • Enhanced working wardrobes for your dental team, including new PPE items like N95 and ASTM level three masks, face shields, and disposable protective coats.
  • New HEPA filters and advanced chairside suction to ensure that the air is as clean and germ-free as possible.

Continued Focus on Safety & Sanitation

Even before the COVID-19 pandemic, your dedicated dental team at Vollo Dental Group has been following strict infection control protocols to keep you safe from illnesses like the common cold and the flu. In COVID-19, they’ve added even more sanitation procedures to ensure their practice is as clean as possible, like:

  • Disinfecting all equipment and surfaces after every patient.
  • Sanitizing high-traffic areas every hour and deep cleaning the entire practice every night.
  • Continuing to use advanced sterilization methods outlined by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention to keep all dental instruments and tools spotless.

The COVID-19 pandemic may have changed what dental visits look like, but it hasn’t changed your Rochester dentist’s commitment to your wellbeing. If you need to visit them for dental care after weeks in quarantine, you can feel confident knowing that they are taking every precaution to keep you and your smile healthy
